Really beautiful and elegant ring, genuinely from the Art Deco period circa 1930. The very fine quality ruby from Siam/Thailand weighing 1.36 carats, set with four claws above fourteen baguette-cut diamonds, with small brilliant-cut diamonds on the shoulders. The use of platinum, much stronger than gold, allows the delicacy of the millegrain diamond settings, the prettily pierced under-gallery, and of the ring generally. Size M - American size 6 1/4 but easily re-sized up or down
